The export ratio of Vietnamese forest products has increased significantly, and the reasons for this have been explored together.

The export value of forest products in Vietnam has reached 9.041 billion US dollars, an increase of 18.8%.

On the 29th, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of China, Qi Guozhi, said that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development had proposed the goal of exporting forest products in the whole year of 2019 to reach 10.5 billion US dollars. Up to now, the export value of forest products has reached 9.041 billion US dollars, an increase of 18.8%. The trade surplus of forest products reached US$6.955 billion. In particular, from the beginning of the year to the present, in October, the export value of forest products exceeded the $1 billion mark for the first time.

 

In the last two months of this year, the export contracts for 2019 have been completed. According to multi-year statistics, this is a period in which forest products exports have set new records. For countries, this is the time to import the most indoor and outdoor products. From this, we can be sure that the export of forest products in 2019 will reach 11 billion US dollars.

 

Vietnamese forest products have been exported to 120 countries and regions around the world. Vietnam's main export markets are the United States, Japan, China, the European Union and South Korea. Exports to these markets amounted to US$7.81 billion, accounting for 86.6% of total forest products exports.

 

Regarding wood raw materials for export processing, the planted forest development area reached 175,000 hectares in the first 10 months of this year, and the timber output reached 16.55 million cubic meters, reaching 85% of the annual plan, an increase of nearly 7%.

 

Regarding forest coverage, the Vietnam Forestry Administration revealed that the afforestation area in Vietnam reached 175,500 hectares in October, reaching 82.7% of the annual plan, equivalent to 98.8% in 2018. Among them, the area of ​​shelter forests and special forests is over 7,000 hectares, and the area of ​​production forests is more than 168,000 hectares.

 

Regarding the forest protection field, as of now, Vietnam has found 9,214 cases of destructive forest resources, a decrease of 1,673 cases, and the area of ​​deforested forests reached 508 hectares, down 6 hectares. There were 271 forest fires, an increase of 103 cases over the same period last year. The area of ​​burnt forest reached 1,951 hectares, an increase of 1,594 hectares over the same period last year.
