The change of China particle board production capacity in the first half of 2020

In August 2020, national Forestry and Grassland Administration Forest Product Industry Planning and Design Institute and China National Forest Product Industry Association jointly completed the statistics on the change of China particle board production capacity in the first half year of 2020, which are hereby officially released.

In the first half of 2020, due to the impact of COVID-19 epidemic, the construction schedule of projects under construction slowed down, and the number of new construction projects started decreased compared with the same period last year. Five chipboard production lines were put into production, with a total production capacity of 1 million cubic meters per year，distributed in Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui, Fujian and Guangxi provinces (city, district);Only 4 particle board production lines have been started, with a total production capacity of 1.39 million cubic meters per year, distributed in Guangdong, Hebei, Sichuan provinces.

In the first half of 2020, China is building 25 particle board production lines with a total production capacity of 6.96 million cubic meters per year.The particle board production line under construction will be put into operation successively from 2020 to 2022. It is estimated that the total production capacity of particle board nationwide will exceed 42 million cubic meters per year by the end of 2020.
